[621] During his 1st marriage , he lived in Taneytown where he was a coach trimmer, and also worked at repairing buggies, wagons, and sleighs. In 1908 he moved to Waynesboro, PA where he remarried, operated his own carriage works, and then was in the insurance business. He had 3 children - a daughter from his 1st wife and 2 children from his 2nd wife. He develpoed uremic poisoning after trying to save his daughter Ruth, from a fire, and died in a Baltimore hospital from it. His 1st wife and daughter are buried in Mt Carmel, Littlestown.
