[11264] He lived in Hanover for over forty years at 256 Locust St and was employed by the J H Rohrbaugh Construction Co as a carpenter. He wasw ell thought of and widely known, having been a charter member of the Eagle Fire Comp. and having served for a time as its president. He also served for several terms as Judge of Elections for the First Ward of Hanover ( a position he held at the time of his death); and he and his family were members of St Pauls Lutheran Ch on York St. He death occured around 2 am of the morning of Sept 16 at the YMCA on York St while assisting in counting the votes from a just held state Primary election. Deathe was attributed to cerebral apoplexy. As he was a member of the State Firemens Association his demise received considerable attention.

He was married to Rachel about 1727. Robert Pennington Jr. and Rachel had the following children:
