NC County Orphan Court Ledger 1804 p 329 states that William McConnaugheys married with Hannah Hanson and was guardian of
Mary,
James,
Margaret and
Rachel Hanson heirs of Elizabeth Hanson deceased. Jacobus Hanson died with 200 acres of land leaving behind him eight children James, Martha, William, Peter, Hannah, Lawrence, Elizabeth, and Joseph all who would inherit. All eight reached the age of 21 except Elizabeth who died without issue May 1801 and the wife and wards are the children of Martha-- sister of the said Elizabeth-- who intermarried with John Hanson and they are entitled to the share of Elizabeth's estate.
