[11260] For many years he was a police officer in Westminster MD. He then moved to Frederick where he was employed as a patrolman and sub-station operator for the Potomac-Edison Co fro 17 years. He had three daughters from his first marriage and a son and daugher from his second marriage. In hes obituary the name of his second wife is given as Sarah Lamberd. This may have been her maiden name as the mariage records in Westminster indicated that she was a widow.

He was married to Mary Caulk about 1717. Mary Caulk died about 1778 in New Castle Co., DE. From "WILLS OF NEW CASTLE DELAWARE" from records of Colonial Dames of America.

Mary Prnnington May 1778-Aug. 4, 1778 L50. Son Joseph Pennington, daughter Mary Rathwell Exc. son Joseph Pennington. PP2-1, pg 25. Henry Pennington and Mary Caulk had the following children:
38 i. Joseph Pennington was born on October 4, 1718 in St. Stephen's Parish, Cecil Co., MD. He died after 1778 in Newcastle Co., DE.
39 ii. Henry Pennington was born on December 6, 1727 in St. Stephen's Parish, Cecil Co., MD. He died before 1785 in Cecil Co., MD. Final account was made 8 Dec. 1785, Cecil Co., MD. (Inventories Bk 2: 2:147) mentioning payments to Margaret Cox, administratrix of Benjamin Cox and her son Benjamin Cox and daughters Sarah and Temperance Cox.
40 iii. Ann Pennington was born on March 26, 1729 in St. Stephen's Parish, Cecil Co., MD. She died about 1773.

BB 361 Henry of Cecil Co will signed Jan 1 1773 probated March 12 1773, Wife Mary exec, Joseph and Henry inherited "Buntington"
Inaccuracy in the Vol 6 Marilyn Freeland points out that these two are the same with the wrong dates.
She states that this Henry is the son of Robert and died 1754
