[12650] He was the oldest son of Johannes Steinseifer who came here in 1749 and settled in Culpeper VA. After he landed he also signed his name to the required oath of allegiance in the State House. Then he traveled west through Holz-Schwamm and down south to finally rejoin his family in VA. He delayed arrival here due to the necessity of serving out a four year "stint" in the Germany army. He was married three times, had 5 sons and 2 daughters. Eventually settled in Wilkes Co NC
