Robert Palmatary Book: "One of the twelve children of James Palmatary, was born and raised on a farm in Duck Creek Hd Kent Co DE. Mary married John Williams, a farmer and they lived in Little Creek Hundred. No record has been found of any children besides their daughter Nancy. At the time of the US Census of 1840 Mary, John and Nancy were living in Little Creek Hundred. An older woman was living with them possibly Mary's mother, Sarah.
Mary's father died in 1849 and left her one-dollar. In 1855, her unmarried brother, Robert, died and she received $148.73 form his estate that was divided equally among his siblings.
In 1860, John and Mary were living in the area of Smyrna Kent Co. Mary's nineteen-year-old niece, Mary E Jackson was living with them. They also had tow farm hands there, and John and Martha Devonish, ages thirteen and eight respectively. These last two may have been relatives.
No record has been found of the death of Mary and John Williams.
