"In the name of God amen. I William Pennington of Cecil County Planten, being weak in Body but sound mind and memory do hereby make my last will & Testament in Manner following viz. I bequeath my soul to God & my body to be presently interment according to the direction of my beloved wife Mary, in hopes of a happy resurrection.
Item. I will & bequeath all my personal estate to my said wife Mary during her life.
Item. At her decease, I bequeath to my eldest son Richard one young horse.
Item. I bequeath to my son John one young cow at the decease of my said wife.
Item. I bequeath at her decease to my son William one young Horse.
Item. at the decease of my said wife I will and bequeath all the rest of my personal estate to be divided according to my said wife's discretion between my other children viz. Jacob, James, Benedict, Rachael, and Rebecca.
Lastly I appoint my said wife whole & sole executrix of this my last will and testament & hereby revoke all former wills by me made in writing where of I have published this my last will & here unto put my hand & seal this first day of July in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and thirty seven

The connection of this William to Robert of Wm d 1800 is still not proven. Even the notes on William Pennington in the John French file is confusing they list will book AA 349 as this Wm. also listing "Pembrook/Penbroke in CC MD to John Graham before Abraham son Penbrook to Graham in 1733 see PP 14-1 page 4

[10233] They lived near Taneytown where he farmed and was also a cooper. About 1861 they moved to Union twp near Littlestown where he continued to work as a cooper. (Census records tell us that his daughter Ellen was born in MD but that his son Oliver was born in PA)Uriah and Emily have no markers. In the 1920's quite a number of tombstones were removed from one area of the cemetery by a thoughtless sexton, and their stones were among them.
