Came to America from Partenheim, Germany on the Ship Speedwell ,landing in Philadelphia on Sept 25, 1749. Several years earlier two of his brothers, Valentine and Philip had come to America, landing also in Philadelphia on Sept 2, 1743. Frederick married a Margaret Miller, had 6 children (4 boys and 2 girls), farmed near Philadelphia and died March of 1768. These three brother came to America as a result of their uncle, Peter Wentz, who had settled near to Phildadelphia in 1704 and eventually acquired upward of 3,000 acres of prime farm land near Skippack, in now Montgomery Co, but then yet a part of Philadelphia Co of PA.
This Wentz family background has been given because there are many members of our relationship directly connected and descended from it. Also, this complex history is and excellent example of how close and entwined in our Stonesifer-Yingling-Bankert Family
