St. George, November 6, 1769.
To be SOLD by public VENDUE, On Friday, the 7th day of December next, and
may be entered on immediately, A PLANTATION, containing 229 acres, situate
on the Lower King Road, leading through New Castle county of Delaware, one
mile from the town of St. George, where there is a good merchant and country
grist mill, about 5 miles from Port Penn, on Delaware river, where is a very
good landing and store house, for the reception and transportation of grain
to Philadelphia market. On said plantation is erected, a commodious well
finished two story brick messuage, with a good cellar under it, a good
wooden house, and kitchen, adjoining the same, barn, stable, waggon and
chaise house, granary, and other out buildings; a good well, and pailed
garden, two good bearing apple and peach orchards; about 130 acres of said
tract is cleared, and under good fence; the whole is excellent wheat land.
Also to be sold, on said day and place, a lot of drained meadow ground,
containing near 10 acres, situate on St. Augustine creek, about 4 miles from
said plantation. Any person inclining to view the said premises, before the
day of sale, may apply to the Subscribes, near and at Port aforesaid. The
title is indisputable. Attendance will be given on the premises, on the day
of sale, and the terms of sale made known by DAVID STEWART, JEROME DUSHANE,
CHRISTOPHER VANDEGRIFT, JOHN STEWART.
