[4807] Notes of Walter Ryland:

Martha Ryland b 1759 is not consistent with Fredus 1730 marrying Sarah (or Mary) Sutton in 1775. Fredus was 45 in 1775, rather late for a first marriage in those days. Isn't it likely that old Fredus had two wives, with children by both? His son Aldrich appears close in age to Martha and might be a child of that (hypothetical) first marriage also. Maybe one wife was Sarah and one was Mary, which might account for why the two names appear in different places.
