[10235] He became a farmer near Littlestown PA and a member of Christ Church as were both of his wives. Aroung 1878 he moved his family to the Fort Wayne area of Newton Co Indiana where he also farmed. He was then suddenly stricken with rheumatism and palsy for about two months before he died. After his death his family returned to PA and settled in York. His final illness was believed to have been caused by his service in the Civil War in which he served as a Pvt Co G 109th PA Vol.
