had operated a grist mill for many years near Mayberry in Carroll Co. When William married Mandilla Yingling as his second wife - he was 51 and she was 22. Della as she was known, was also a cousin of her husband.
A grandson of William L told the following story about his grandfather to this writer (Wildasin). William L gradually became suspicious that someone was sneaking around trying to "make time" with his second wife (who was only 22 whe he married her). so he rigged up a shot gun trap to find out if this suspicion was correct. No one was ever caught, but it is a fact that William L did move later to Harrisburg PA with Della and the children of the 2nd marriage.
