1900 Sept 6 G8 497 All the children and spouses turn over their rights to the farm to Eliza Minner for one dollar for the term of her natural life then unto Josephine S Minner for the duration of her natural life. Land adjoins the land of the late John Garman, late Z W Sinex, late John F Tharp, and others containing 163 acres. Same track of land conveyed to Stephen Minner by deed of Charles LeCompt and wife bearing date 9/10/1884 Q6 112
1908 May 27 Smyrna Times: " Mrs. Stephen L. Minner of Near Blackiston's, Mother of Mrs. Benjamin Middleton of Smyrna Dead. Mrs. Eliza Minner, widow of Stephen L. Minner a prominent farmer of Kenton Hundred died at her home near Blackiston's last Wednesday in the 82nd year of her age. Deceased had been in failing health for several months. Her life was given in devotion to her home and to her children and she will be sadly missed not only by her family but by her circle of fiends who held her in love and esteem. She is survived by five children, two daughters and three sons as follows: Mrs. Benjamin F Middleton of Smyrna; Miss Josephine Middleton and Mr Eugene Middletown who lived at home; William H Middletown of Newark, N J.; and Arthur Middleton, who is farming for himself near Clayton. Funeral services were held Saturday at her late residence near Blackistons and interment was make in the family burying grounds at Brynzion Baptist Cemetery near Kenton. The Rev. Arthur Richards of the Presbyterian Church of Smyrna Officiated." [It appears that the reporter for this obituary was confused on the surname. The name Middleton for the sons and daughter Josephine should read Minner.]
