"was born on the George W. Cummins farm in what is known as Barren Hope, Duck Creek hundred. There he passed his youth, attended school and learned the duties of the farmer. For a quarter of a century his home has been on the farm he now occupies. It consists of 112 acres under good cultivation. Mr. Ford supported the Prohibition party since its organization, but does not take and active part in the campaigns. Mr Ford is a trustee and steward of the Severson's M. E. church."
