[9098] They farmed in Mt Joy twp. some miles south of Gettysburg. She was found frozen to death on a road leading to her home after a visit to friends in Gettysburg. It was at the time of a severe snow storm, and after being left out of a car at the entrance to the road to her home a short distance away, she first stopped in at a store at that location which was on the Littlestown - Gettysburg highway. After starting out for home she got part way but collapsed, possibly from a heart attack, and could not recover. Family members found her body several hours later while out searching for her. The evening of the last day of his life, her husband left the house to do a little hunting with a gun after a thunderstorm had passed over the area. The next morning his body was found in a field of his farm
