I stumbled over your Stonesifer web page by accident. I am the grandson of Stanley Quay Stonesifer, son of William H Stonesifer and Anna Q. Stimer. My mother Betty Jane Stonesifer (Lyons) is still alive and living in Montpelier, Vermont. Her bother and sister died several years ago.
Your web page has been an invaluable resource for my research into my own history. I can clue you in on some information that you might want to add to your web page related to Stanley.
First of all - Stanley Quay Stonesifer was born 11 July 1892 in Steelton, PA. He always liked to say that he was born later than that. I personally never met him because he died before I was born in North Hampton, New Hampshire, 12 June 1956. During his career, he was an accountant for the FHA, a civil engineer, and until his death, he was Chief Comptroller of the Portsmouth, NH Naval Shipyard.
Anne Evelyn Siemons was born 10 Feb 1900 in Harrisburg, PA. She died 14 Feb 1967 in Montpelier, VT. She was living with my family at the time. I was only 7 and I don't remember a lot about her other than she was very sick with emphysema until the very end. She was the one who turned me onto garlic. I put garlic on everything thanks to her.
Stanley and Anne Evelyn Siemons were married 26 April 1924 in Harrisburg, PA Their children were:
1. Barbara Ann Stonesifer - B: 24 Aug 1925 in Harrisburg, PA. She died in 5 Oct 1993.
2. Betty Jane Stonesifer - B: 24 Aug 1928, West Orange, NJ. She is still living.
3. Stanley "Bill" Stonesifer - B: 10 May 1933, Long Island, NY. D: 15 Dec 1990, Eliot, Maine.
They are all buried in North Hampton, NH.
I have attached a picture of the family taken in 1947 outside Plymouth (NH) State College where Barbara graduated with a teaching degree. L-R Stanley (Bill), Betty, Anne, Barbara, and Stanley Quay. I have other pictures and I admit that this one is not high quality. I do not have access to a scanner. But I can get access to one and send you a clearer one if you would like.
I thought that you might find this information helpful.
