[88] 1899/Nov 4 " Mr. and Mrs. Reese, of Clayton were the guests of Mrs. Reese's brother Dr. Joseph Carrow, Sunday. Dr Carrow's mother and younger sister were ther also." MT T [Ezekiel died 1/1895, so somewhere from that date to 1899 they were married.}

Her great-granddaughter Ruth V remembers there was a very old lady in the bed up stairs to the right as you came around the landing in the house on East Cochran Street. The great-granddaughter would always pay a visit upstairs on the Sunday, then it was off to the kitchen for cookies from that great round glass jar with the peanut as a handle on top. She was blind near the end of her life

The Middletown Transcript on March 17, 1955 reads:
Mrs. Virginia Rees, 90 who formerly operated the Willow Grove Mills near this town with her husband, the late David R. Rees, died at the home of her son, John W. Voshell 10 East Cochran Street.

Mrs. Rees was born near Dover, in Kent County, DE, and the daughter of the late John Wesley and Susan Carrow. She was married in 1886 to Ezekiel D. Voshell, who died in 1896. Later she married Mr. Rees and moved to Silver Lake, near here, where they operated the flour and grain mill. She spent her early life near Alley Mills in Kent County.

Mr. Rees died in 1944 and in recent years Mrs. Rees had made her home with her son. She was a member of Bethesda Methodist Church.

In addition to her son John, she is survived by another son, Harvey Voshell, Grand Rapids, Michigan; four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Virginia Rees bought the Willow Grove Mills in 1904 and her grandson Joe Rees Voshell remembers that she was the boss in the operations of the mill.

'Delaware Tercentenary Almanak' -- Canterbury DE was first know as 'Irish Hill'

Harry Diehl letters to Jill states that she was born in the year 1864
