[9291] He went from Carroll Co MD to Monroe twp. near Carlisle, PA about the time of the Civil War. First a farmer and butcher, he later moved to Carlisle where he had a trucking business for many years, and was also a well known auctioneer. Old Graveyard in Carlisle , an historic cemetery dating back to 1751 and in which a number of noted personalities are buried, includingMolly Pitcher, the heroine of the Battle of Monmouth in the Revolutionary War.
