[638] She attended the local public schools; went to Wilson college but transferred to Hood where she graduated; secured and M.A. degree in drama from the U of PA; went to a dramatics school in NYC and then worked off Broadway in theater under the name of Louise Howard; married and went to Hollywood, CA where she and her husband were in theater- she as Halo Meadows. Both later entered the field of journalism. She lived in her family's pre-Civil War home in Littlestown, PA.
