[10934] Julianna Banckert, the oldest child of Christophel and Anna Eva Banckert, married Martin Kitsmiller sometime in the fall of 1728, following their arrival in Philadelphia. After settling in Digges' Choice in 1731 or a year or so later along with the parents of both of them, Martin made and initial land purchase in 1734. Then in 1737 he purchased the 100 acre plantation of John and Anna Maria Leman (Later Lemmon), and in 1738-9 he built a log grist mill on the banks of the Little Conewago, a few miles west of present day Hanover. It soon became one of the best known mills west of the Susquehanna River - the memory of which has come down to the present day. This historic mill (which no longer exists) was apparently operated for some years in the late 1800's by John W Stonesifer. Over the mill door was a large stone on which was inscribed the following names and dates;" Hans Martin Kitzmiller, Aug 1738; Ano 1755; I H G K M , May 12, 1791" which are apparently the dates of the building and rebuilding at the mill. Throughout its existence it was always known as Kitzmiller's Mill and was constantly owned and operated by the family till sold out of the family in 1844
