"Governor's Register, State of Delaware, 1674-1851" Entry on May 12, 1817 "This day the Governor remitted to Dennis Minner, who was convicted on the 6th Inst. before the Court of Quarter Sessions in Kent County of kidnapping a free negro boy named Thomas Mollaston, that part of the sentence of the said Court which is in the these word viz. 'with both his ears nailed thereto and at the expiration of the hour shall have the soft part of both his ears cut off,' which remission was drawn and engrossed in form under the Great Seal of the State, Signed by the Governor and counter-signed by the Secretary of State."

He was a Cornet in Capt. Shriver's Co., 2nd reg., 1st Cavalry Dist. in June 26, 1812 and a 2nd Lieut. by Dec 22 1812 He likely went to Juniata Co PA.
