[10936] About 1754 the family moved from Digges' Choice to the Silver Run area where Henry Cassel purchased 50 acres of land on July 8 1754. This was duly recorded in Frederick on July 19,1754. Like the original Banckert family, Henry and Anna Margretha Cassell (later Cassell) had 4 children, 3 daughter and 1 son. The son Jacob later became one of the two executors of his Uncle Jacob Bankert's will. It appears that all the Cassells of Carroll Co through the years descent from Henry and Margretha Cassel.
