[11086] As an adult he spelled his names as Josiah; was ordained in 1891 in Mechanicsburg PA as a minister of the United Brethren Ch; and for a period of some 36 years served numerous churches of that denomination in South central PA from Chambersburg in Franklin Co to Yoe inYork Co and including Hanover and some churches in Carroll So., one there being Bixler's in Bachman's Valley. A very well known person, he died suddenly in York a few hours after conducting the funeral of two persons who had been killed in a car-train accident.
