Marilyn Freeland write to RAS 2/24/01 "Abraham F. Pennington is either the son of Joseph, Isaac or Otho #2 Pennington, sons of Otho Pennington & Sarah. Wheeler Pennington is well documented and excluded. I have the entire history of Heaths Range and have studied this family as much as possible for a clue to the middle initial F in Abraham's name. It is quite possible the initial stands for Fields and Abraham is the Brother of James Fields Pennington. There was a Phillip F Pennington in an early Delaware census. Phillip disappeared. Middle names and initials were not common around that time period and for three Pennington's to have the same middle
initial is suspect."
Deed M2 447 25 Mar 1791 NC Co Timothy Cummins [2481] of Duck Creek Hundred De and Rachel his wife sell part of the "Change" to Andrew hackett. The Deed mentions that Timothy already had sold parts to William Williams and Ellen and ABRAHAM FIELDS. The said Timothy Cummins appoints Kensey Johns and Thomas McDonough, esq to be his Attorneys and appear in open court of Common Pleas the May term of 1793 to acknowledge this Indenture.
