[925] He farmed NW of Westminster in the Pleasant Valley area, and for some years after his sister Rebecca's 2nd marriage , Rufus and his 1st wife Lydian had Susan Fritz, their young niece, living with them. Susan was the 4th child of Rebecca's 1st marriage, and Rufus & Lydian raised her as they had no children of their own. Rufus died of dropsy.
