Wilson file Cecil Co Historical Library--Mauldens were one of the very early settlers...Francis and William Maulden appear in "Early Virginia Immigrants" In 1635 adm 37 Testamentary papers for William Maulden in 1799 mention his widow as Margery Kamky Hyland widow of Nicholas Hyland, son Zebylon Kanky Maulden daughters Elizabeth and Margery.
He was 67 in 1853 when he applied for penson from the War of 1812.
