Proof of the connection of this Stephen to his son Stephen comes in the form of a Deed transfer on Aug 18, 1836 in ledger M 3 page 144, DE Archives. Stephen Minner JR and his wife Eliza sells land 78 acres to Stephen Minner SR. The land was a piece situated in Mispillion HD was inherited land of Nancy Minner wife of Stephen Minner SR and part of the land of William McNatt decd. Which land is subject to the life estate of Stephen Minner SR then descends to the five heirs of the aforesaid Nancy Minner." This all fits into the information of the Probate of Stephen Minner 1853. No mention of his wife in the will so she must have died before this sale of land to the son in 1836. It is a little odd that the land is being sold back to the father.

Stephen Minor/Miner (born ca. 1799) and his wife Eliza (born ca. 1806) were in New Castle County in
the early 1830's. Their sons Charles (born ca. 1827), Stephen, Jr. (born ca. 1830) and John W.(born ca
1833) were all born in Delaware. Their daughter, Sarah Jane was born in Ohio. (born ca. 1837) From
there they traveled to Indiana and are listed there in the 1850 census. Any help on this surname or
connection to this family would be greatly appreciated.
